Since February, we’ve been presented with developer previews and several beta versions of Android 14, the next big iteration of the world’s most popular operating system. After a fourth beta release last month with some changes, Google has finally deployed the fifth beta, which this time should be the last.
Unlike previous versions, we are not dealing with many new features, Google has fixed numerous bugs. This 5th release provides finalized SDK and NDK APIs; this indicates that it may be a Release Candidate (RC) version. kind of post-beta, but the pre-stable release should directly precede the public release.

Among the minor notable new features of this version are, Better support for pen typing on the Gboard keyboard. A new floating toolbar will accompany the pen’s new handwriting gestures. Google is also working on the ability to stream media to your Pixel tablet by holding your phone in front of it.
Finally, you will soon need to be able to “connect your devices” [Android] » linked to the same Google account. This will allow switching between devices for calls as well as a feature called “tethering”. At any rate, The update is now available for download on compatible Pixels.
