Facebook Groups: the new Facebook app based on groups!

Facebook continues to offer new applications. After soberly creating an app called Messenger dedicated to his messaging, The French favorite social network introduced Facebook Groups todayAn application that points to the great return of groups.

Groups for younger users are a thing of the past, Pages work fine. But Pages didn’t exist when Facebook started in 2004. On the other hand, groups do. The goal is simple; themes, centers of interest, schools we go to, companies we work with, etc. to form groups around it.

And Mark Zuckerberg’s network aims to keep groups up to date by offering a dedicated app on iOS and Android. And unlike Messenger, it’s not mandatory.

You can continue to use Facebook groups in the main app and on your computer – Facebook.

Clearly, the social network doesn’t want to attract the same criticism of Messenger it has chosen to impose on its users. Mark Zuckerberg tried in vain to explain this choice, not really convinced. The Groups app will therefore not be mandatory, but the message that justifies the creation of this app is the same: the user experience will be better.

All good, but how does this app work? It’s actually very simple. Since When you start the application, the groups you already belong to are displayed. and the ones you check most often appear at the top of the screen.

To interact with the group, simply tap the corresponding icon; then it will be possible to publish a message, photo, video and even documents. It is also possible create a new group from the app and select membersand privacy restrictions i.e. “public”, “private” or “private”.

It’s very practical to admit, and an app that gives that functionality a makeover. Even older users tended to abandon this use of groups in favor of pages. Special application can revive the madness of the past.
