5 Things to Expect from the Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop Release

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update and Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update gain momentum in the United States and around the world, we continue to be flooded with questions about their release. Fast Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop Release In Progress

Expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop release to continue at its dizzying pace as we head into April and May. While the Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop release was delayed a bit, the update largely caught up with the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Lollipop updates. If you’re still using Android 4.4.4 KitKat and many of you are Galaxy Note 4 users, keep an eye out for the update you’ll be getting in the next few weeks. We’re finally starting to see well-known carriers rolling out Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop updates, and we’re even seeing some smaller markets like Australia pumping out their own Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update releases. Be patient, but keep your eyes open.

Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop Support in May

Expect the same from the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop release. The Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop release started a little after the Galaxy Note 4 release, but we’re slowly starting to see it catch up.

Seeing it reach major carriers and markets like Australia is a sign that this update is ready for a rollout next month. We expect the fierce pace to continue as we enter May, and you’ll want to keep an eye on your update.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop Updates Coming Soon

T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update has been in internal testing for a few weeks now. Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update has arrived. While T-Mobile hasn’t said anything, it wouldn’t surprise us if the carrier released these two updates at the same time. We’ve seen other US carriers do this, so there’s a good chance we’ll see both of them ported once the Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update is ready.

The speed is impressive with the Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update.

We expect this to happen in the next three to four weeks. Internal tests usually only take a few weeks to complete. And while they could certainly run into hurdles in the testing process, we’d be shocked if T-Mobile users had to wait until past May. Don’t expect T-Mobile to tell you exactly when these updates are rolling out until their release date (or release date) arrives. Not known for US carriers to give early release dates.

Verizon Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop Coming Soon

We expect the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update to continue to make progress in the United States over the next few weeks. Expect the last stop, Verizon, to stay quiet as we test the software behind the scenes, but we’d be surprised if the carrier doesn’t get the Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update by the end of May.

Presentations Will Take Months to Completion

While these updates have certainly built solid support, don’t expect the Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update or the Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update to end anytime soon. These presentations will last for at least a few more months. Samsung’s Android updates can take six months or more to complete, and it looks like these two updates are the way to go.

For example, Vodafone Australia says it’s running into some issues with testing, which means it probably won’t get updates for at least a few more days. Or how about Telstra, a carrier that has yet to confirm its plans? There are always stray ones and all you can do is cross your fingers and hope your device isn’t among them.

These updates won’t end overnight. It’s going to be a long, unpredictable process to follow, especially if you live in a smaller market where major software updates are often slow.
