All Evil Dead game characters and demons add up to a total of twenty-two characters, including thirteen survivors to choose from in-game. While they are balanced and everyone has their own favourites, we played to identify the best characters for each team by determining who was the deadliest. With 22 known playable characters (and four or five variations of Ash Williams himself from different parts of the series), a wide range of abilities to choose from.

Choosing the best characters and demons isn’t easy – since this is a class-based game, everyone needs to be good at something else, and many of these skills are incomparable. That’s why we grouped them in their respective classes to determine which one works best in these particular groupings! Choose these and you will have shown the best of what your class can do.

• Best Hunter: Amanda Fisherman
  • If you don’t have it yet, check out how to unlock Amanda Fisher in Evil Dead here. Otherwise, the main thing to remember is that Amanda needs some time to level up, but once you have all her powers, she’s more deadly with a pistol than any character with a ranged weapon. The power to increase damage by making consecutive hits fatal against powerful demon bosses.
• Best Leader: Lord Arthur
  • You won’t be able to get Lord Arthur until you solve the notorious challenge “The Homecoming King”, we’ve detailed how to do it in our Evil Dead game mission 5, but it’s worth it. A few levels and Arthur permanently increases the melee damage of anyone standing near him, and he can increase it even more with his active skills. Stay close and your team will slay any enemies who dare to approach.
• Best Support: Ash Williams (Bad Dead)
  • The original Ash’s power to restore the health of himself and those around him with heavy attacks is unbelievable. If only there was a way to cure fear… oh, wait, that’s his active ability! So, once the two main threats to your group are addressed, there is little danger left. If you level it up, it can mark enemies with headshots, increasing the damage dealt to them, and even causing damage to marked enemies to give them even more health.
• Best Warrior: Ash Williams (Army of Darkness)
  • It’s another Ash, but couldn’t Bruce Campbell at least partially dominate the meta? Like Amanda Fisher, leveling up third Ash Williams is somewhat necessary to unlock her full potential, but the power to regenerate shields with finishers, huge Fight for survival as you can effectively cut the way to high defenses.
• Best Demon: Wizard
  • Well, another Ash for good measure. The demons are all pretty much on par with each other actually, but Necromancer gets this for providing shields to his minions, making Evil Ash one of the scariest unstoppable tanks on the market, and blending a combination of strategic powers and frontline strength.
