Last week, T-Mobile announced another big change to its service and how the company plans to offer device upgrades for smartphone owners, and it’s called T-Mobile Jump On-Demand. Essentially, the carrier now allows owners to upgrade to a new smartphone three times a year absolutely free.
It’s no secret that T-Mobile has rocked the mobile industry with tons of changes, new policies, free upgrades, and more called “Non-Carrier” aimed at being different from any other carrier. But the biggest change since late 2013 was announced last week and is in stores starting today.
T-Mobile’s new attempt to compete with AT&T and Verizon is the next wave of changes in the Un-carrier movements over the past two years, and it’s called Un-carrier Amped. T-Mobile Jump! On-Demand officially launched yesterday, June 28. This applies to both existing customers and new users. become a member For Jump On Demand, which allows users to upgrade to a new phone at any time up to three times a year, absolutely free.
Those who don’t like their obsolete Galaxy Note 3 can jump into the new Galaxy S6 or Note 4. Or if they decide to try the LG G4 that’s an option, it’s totally free. And hop on the iPhone 6s or Galaxy Note 5 again this fall. All for free, with no fees or taxes.
Previously, Jump plans had a $10 fee and charged a fee for replacing smartphones, aside from taxes and other minor fees. But with Jump On Demand, there are no $10 fees, no taxes, or nothing. Only 100% free upgrade for anyone interested in buying a new phone.
As of yesterday, customers can go to a T-Mobile store and sign up for Jump. For now, T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Note 4 and LG G4 as part of JOD. Customers can upgrade to any of these brand new phones, which will likely reduce their monthly payment and allow them to upgrade twice over the next 12 months, as there is no longer a $10 fee.

If they want to switch to another phone, they can do so for free. However, you will have to swap the existing smartphone or pay the remaining balance, and it’s up to you.

As a result, users will pay their monthly carrier bills plus $24-31 per month for any of the aforementioned flagship smartphones. And if at any point they want to switch to something else, they can be completely free up to three times a year.
