Witcher 3 White Orchard side quests
Action missing
Prerequisite: None | Recommended Level: None
Talk to Dune at the south end of the city to begin this quest. Agree to help find his brother Bastien, then quickly head to the Crossroads.
Head north towards your marker to find Dune. Examine the shields painted with white flowers to find his brother on the battlefield. After checking them all out, follow Dune’s dog, Hussan, to find Bastien in a nearby cabin.
on the bed of death
Prerequisite: Complete “The Beast of White Orchard”. | Recommended Level: 2
After completing “The Beast of White Orchard”, return to Tomira in her cabin. She’s trying to heal a sick girl and you can help by making some Swallows. If you don’t already have them, you can find most of the supplies planted behind Tomira’s huts. You’ll also need some dwarf spirit (can be bought at the tavern) and the brains of the drowned (available at several places in the White Garden). Gather what you need, prepare the potion and return it to Tomira to finish the quest.
You can get this contract from the Notice Board in White Orchard. To start the hunt, go to the house at the west end of the city and talk to Odolan. You will learn about a ghostly woman haunting a nearby water source.
The next step is to head south to the Abandoned Village marked on the map. When you arrive, use Witcher Sense to examine the ground around the well and learn about the Noonwraith. Read the Bestiary entry about them, then keep perusing the abandoned buildings until you find a diary.
Eventually you will need to jump into the well and find a bracelet in the water below. Read the diary and return the bracelet to the corpse by the well. When the Wraith is summoned, kill it – Yrden is too powerful here. When you finish the fight, return to Odolan to complete the contract.
Twisted Fire Starter
Prerequisite: None | Recommended Level: None
To begin this quest, talk to Willis on the west side of White Orchard and learn that his workshop has been destroyed. Start by using the Witcher Sense behind the hut to find a set of footprints.
Follow them to the boat next to the creek, then check the same shore, but check the other side of the bridge to find more. Now follow the bloody tracks to enter a house. You will find the culprit in the back room. From here you can either get money to protect the arsonist or take him back to the smithy. Both choices will end the mission.
A Frying Pan, Spick and Span
Prerequisite: Begin “The Beast of White Orchard”. | Recommended Level: None
Along the river that crosses the western end of the White Garden, there is an Old Woman trying to get into a hut. Listen to his story and agree to help track down his pan to get started. Use Aard to break the door and enter the hut, then use Witcher Sense to find a corpse, some burned documents and missing pans. Return the pan to the woman for a reward.
Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear
Prerequisite: None | Recommended Level: 6
To begin this quest, check the Undiscovered Location just west of the Plundered Village sign – it’s a Bandit Camp in a series of ruins. Destroy the baddies and check their stashes to find a report. Read to earn a new mission mark.
This will take you to the cemetery just north of the Mill mark. You can enter the tomb here by blowing the door with Aard. Search the small cave ahead to find a corpse holding a new weapon diagram. This will complete the task.
Dirty Funds
Prerequisite: None | Recommended Level: 2
East of the Mill is an unexplored location, a small campground. Loot the chest here to find a letter that starts the mission. Read the letter to place a new mission mark further east.
This is another Uncharted Location, a decently sized Bandit Camp. Destroy the vagrants and raid the loot stashes to finish the mission.
Temerian Valuables
Prerequisite: None | Recommended Level: 4
Just west of the mill mark is an Uncharted Location next to a small bridge. Head there to find a key next to a corpse, then jump into the water and use it to unlock a large chest to begin the quest. Read the report inside the chest to get a new mark east of the mill.
The new marker will take you to a house with a dilapidated basement. Use Aard to blow up the broken door here and find a pile of chests to complete the mission.
Valuable Cargo
Prerequisite: Recover the Abandoned Zone just west of the Sawmill sign. | Recommended Level: None
On the way to the Nilfgaardian Garrison, you will find a merchant who left a special box when his car was attacked. Go to the new quest marker and use Witcher Sense to spot some car tracks. Follow them into the swamp to find the car, then search nearby to find the box in question.
Return to the seller – something is not quite right. The cart was riddled with arrows and the merchant is carrying a bow… You can call him or return the box. If you call out to him, be prepared to chase him on horseback. Once you’ve done that, you have a few more options for what to do with the merchant.
