Earlier this summer, one of the biggest updates in history arrived for the hugely popular mobile game Clash of Clans. The update brought new level 5 dragons, three new spells and tons of improvements, but the developers are not done. They started this weekend regiment another update, and here we go over five things players can expect from the next Clash of Clans update.
With over 150 million installs on iOS and over 100 million Android users, this is one of the most popular games, and with good reason. Updates constantly improve the game, add new features and keep everything exciting for millions of players.
Just as they did during the big update on July 1, this weekend Supercell started making fun of another “major update” for Clash, with a few previews of what’s coming soon. We know there are at least two major changes, but more to come later this week.
Tons of new things have been added to the game over the two years I’ve been playing Clash of Clans. We’ve received new troops, additional spells, higher dragons, a fourth Mortar, an air cleaner to handle Balloon attacks, and much more. And more is coming soon. We’re not sure if these teasers are for the big update at the end of October or if we’ll see an update this month followed by an update at the end of next month during ClashCon. That’s all, here’s what players need to know.
The developers of Clash of Clans this morning announced a dangerous Lightning Spell level 7 makes it the most powerful spell ever, and after the July update it became a bit pointless. The summer update introduced three new spells and neutralized lightning against tanks, which is what most players use the spell. See the new level 7 lightning bolt in action below.
In the next major Clash of Clans update, lightning magic at level 5 and 6 will be much stronger, a new level 7 will be unlocked for TH10 players, and the hit rate and damage range will be smaller. Meaning it will be more accurate when dropped, hitting targets more precisely than being unpredictable. However, eliminating highly upgraded air defense units will require three maxed-out lightning spells, not two as expected. Not to mention that players will need to be more accurate with spell drop and timing, especially when destroying clan castle troops.
That’s just one or two of the many things to come in the next Clash of Clans update, and below are a few more details on what to expect in the future.
