Clash of Clans Update: 5 Quick Details

Earlier this summer, one of the biggest updates in a long time arrived for the popular mobile game Clash of Clans. Players have loved all the changes, but today is the time to update again and players can look forward to a few new changes or features. Below are five brief details about today’s Clash of Clans update.

With a total of over 250 million downloads between Android and iOS, this game is one of the most popular games on the market, and for good reason. Updates are constantly coming with many improvements, introducing new features and keeping everything fresh and new for everyone playing the game.

Over the weekend, Supercell started teasing another “big update” for Clash, starting with a few previews of what’s coming soon. We told you everything new yesterday and here are a few more details as we wait for the upcoming updates to the App Store and Google Play and the maintenance break to end so players can enjoy Clash of Clans and its new features.

Many expected this to be another major update similar to the July 1 update, but that’s not the case. Instead, it paves the way for a few new features, a minor update with a few major changes, and a much larger update coming at the end of October.

Supercell, the developers who created Clash of Clans, is holding its own ClashCon player/developer event on October 24 in Helsinki. on attracting new players to join the game. This could be Clan War Tournaments, Town Hall 11 will likely appear, a third Hero is likely in the works, and more. This is the big big update coming soon, but what about today? Here are five quick details.

The update, which is available as of today, has a few important new changes that users will want to know about. There have been developers mock characteristics All week long and here’s what’s new.

Lightning Spells have changed a lot. It’s 5-6 now. They are much stronger at level and also 5-6. They are available for Town Hall 8-9 at level 8-9. This means that a new stronger level is available. TH10 players can upgrade their Lightning Spells to level 7. It’s stronger, smaller, more precise hitting a target and dealing more damage than ever before.

Supercell has also upgraded or modified Poison, Earthquake, and Freeze enchantments. Venom now works like Inferno towers and starts slow and builds up power to take down troops. So you’ll have to pull them out or be more accurate when dropping the spell, because the longer the troops stay inside, the more damage they do. Freeze spells now affect airborne troops, which is a big spell. Previously, they were only land and hero troops.

One of the biggest changes everyone should know about who participates in Clan Wars is the new tiebreaker feature. There will no longer be draw games in which a Battle ends with even scores. They call it Totan destruction and add up the amount of damage from each attack and the team with the highest percentage of total damage wins.

Isn’t it easy enough? Deal as much damage as possible even on second attacks, because if any battle ends in a draw, all those damage points will be extremely important.

It’s been a very long time. Town Hall 10 players will now receive 25 new walls to help surround and protect their bases, make more partitions to divert attacking troops, and protect warehouses and other buildings.

The last few updates have provided a fourth mortar, two air purifiers, a dark magic factory, and more, but we don’t have any more walls. Users will now have 25 more walls to use wherever they see fit. This will be very helpful and will probably allow for some really unique and hard-to-attack bases. We’re not sure if TH9 will get more as well or if this is limited to TH10 players only.

At the same time, the ugly and out of place blue lightning level 11 walls have been completely removed. Level 11 walls will now be lava orange to better match the general style and color theme of TH10 players and the highly upgraded bases.

Finally, there’s the same brand new “Army overview” button that was introduced on the Clan War page in the last update. This will help players instantly check their troop count, layout, clan castle contents and spells without leaving the Clan War map. I hated going back and forth, and that will no longer be a problem. Small but very necessary.

This is a pretty minor update compared to the July update, but not every single one of them will be huge or game-changing. However, towards the end of October, there is a huge update that everyone will want to be aware of.

ClashCon is on October 24, and while we don’t expect the update to arrive the same day, it won’t take more than a day or two to show up. That means late next month we’ll have more features to talk about, have fun, and learn from to perfect our hacks and more.
