LG G3 Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Coming Coming

The popular LG G4 was among the first smartphones on the planet to see the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, but those with the LG G3 were left out. However, the release date is almost here, and accordingly new resources LG G3 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will launch in mid-December.

On September 29, Google announced and approved Android 6.0 Marshmallow, formerly known as Android M, and released it to the public on October 5. Less than three weeks later, LG rolled out the LG G4 in Poland, but the rest of the world is still waiting.

This week, new sources and a confirmation from LG indicate that the old LG G3 has also completed the testing phase and will see the update in the coming weeks. In fact, the LG G3 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is scheduled for December 16-18. Read on for more details.

While some manufacturers like Motorola and HTC are very open and transparent when it comes to software updates, LG is the opposite. And with Android 5.1 Lollipop last year, while the company did a better job delivering the update faster than in previous years, it had a number of issues that caused frustration for many owners.

With the LG G3 and LG G4 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update this year, the company aims to keep everything close to their chests again, not sharing any details, and finally releasing the update when it’s ready. Then, all of a sudden, Android 6.0 for LG G4 arrived in Poland.

Poland is one of the smaller markets for LG, which is a safe place to test software for its flagship smartphones before releasing it to larger markets like the UK or the United States, and that’s exactly what they do. The LG G4 in Poland is already getting Android 6.0, while the rest of the world is waiting for it to arrive, and now the popular LG G3 of recent years is next.

By tablety.plLG is working hard and testing the LG G3 Marshmallow update and is almost ready for a global release. It reportedly starts at or around 16-18 with Poland in mid-December, then continues to other major markets.

For now, we don’t have other details or release dates for other markets, but if everything goes as planned with the new software release, they will definitely follow. In the United States, carriers have a strict and rigorous testing period of 4-6 weeks; this means that even if LG is ready in December, it won’t reach US carriers until the end of January. However, testing may already be ongoing, so we’ll have to wait and see.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will introduce many new features, changes and improvements, but most are not visual. Google’s enhanced performance, battery life, security and more. As for US carriers, we know they will get the update, but the question remains when. T-Mobile in early October announced A huge list of about 17 devices that will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the future. The two phones at the top of T-Mobile’s update list are the LG G3 and LG G4, not to mention the popular budget-friendly LG G Stylo.
