With the Christmas shopping season in full swing, most people are probably looking for last-minute gifts. Now that Black Friday has come and gone, buyers trying to find a good deal on a smartphone may want to consider going to AT&T, which is offering users a free Samsung Galaxy S6.
In April, the impressive Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were launched with a brand new design, beautiful aluminum frame and one of the best cameras on any smartphone. It remained one of the best phones of the year, and now AT&T is giving one away for the holidays.
It’s a simple buy it free deal, but it’s actually available in more than one form, and buyers will get a free Galaxy S6 or AT&T exclusive Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Read on for all the details.
This deal could be to get rid of some extra stock of the Samsung Galaxy S6 left over from Black Friday, a deal from AT&T for the holidays, or make room for the heavily rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 we’ve heard. end of February at the earliest.
Rumor has it there’s still 3-4 months to the Galaxy S7, which means the Galaxy S6 is one of the best smartphones available, especially when buyers get one for free. Earlier this week AT&T announced Samsung Galaxy S6 buy one get one free deal, but there’s more to it than that. The choices are wide-ranging, two free phones are available for buyers, and this could be the perfect gift this holiday season.
Simple. Buy any of Samsung’s flagship smartphones released in 2015 with a new AT&T Next 24 plan; this plan is no contract but users pay monthly on the phone instead of $199 and get another Galaxy S6 in the form of $650 credit on the account.
So users can go to AT&T and buy the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge+ and get the Galaxy S6 for free. Both phones are required to be used on the AT&T Next 24 installment plan, and the buyer will get back $650, which covers the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S6.
The deal is good for the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Active from AT&T and both phones are available. The Galaxy S6 Active is a more rugged version of the Galaxy S6 with the same features, the same great display and camera, but lacking a durable design, hardware buttons and fingerprint scanner.
AT&T has confirmed that this deal is valid for qualifying buyers from now until December 31, and users will be charged the full amount of the device if any phone is canceled from the plan.
It’s worth noting that the second unit of the AT&T Galaxy S6 is not completely free and users will continue to be charged, but there will be a $650 credit on the bill that covers the entire price of the phone. Essentially, allowing family members to buy extra for a friend or family member as long as they are used on the line used at the time of purchase.
AT&T also states that it can take more than 90 days for the $650 credit to be activated; this means some buyers may be able to pay AT&T Next on the free Galaxy S6 for three months until the promotion starts; That’s less than $70, but eventually the entire Samsung Galaxy S6 will be completely free. Those who missed out on good deals during Black Friday will want to grab one of these while stocks last or by December 31st. Get the Galaxy S6 now or wait a few months to see what comes out of the new Samsung Galaxy S7.
