This week SamMobile found Pretty credible information from China Mobile that suggests the new flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone series will launch in March. Of course, that may change, and a release date in China won’t guarantee a similar release in the United States, but it’s likely.

According to China Mobile’s roadmap shown below, Samsung Galaxy S7, Huawei P9 and some other high-end phones will be launched in March. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of such a date, with the Galaxy S7 launching in mid-March to give credence to multiple rumors with an announcement in late February.

The slideshow above doesn’t mention anything about the Galaxy S7 Edge or Plus, but it just gives us an idea of when the Galaxy S7 will be released. There are no other details, features or rumors to go with that. It’s just a release date and nothing more.

However, the same end-of-February announcement and early-March release date were cited earlier this month by the Wall Street Journal, which, according to some, is a fairly reliable source. According to the WSJ, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be announced in February, launch very quickly in March and will be a remarkably impressive phone.

Sources suggest that Samsung will stick with a very similar design to the Galaxy S6 in 2016, looking nearly identical and offering the same premium aluminum and glass design. However, Samsung is considering improving the camera, display, returning the micro SD card for users to expand storage, and using a USB Type-C port instead of the traditional micro USB for charging and syncing. The same information was also leaked from the Korean Times, adding even more weight to these rumors.

From what we’ve heard, there will be at least four new smartphones to launch in March. These are the 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 and the 6-inch Galaxy S7 Plus. Next, Samsung will launch two with curved screens on the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. These phones will have a very similar design, improved internals, better battery life, a 20-megapixel BRITECELL camera, and come with either Samsung’s latest octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 octa-core superchip. These phones are ranked to be some of the best phones available in early 2016, and they could arrive sooner than any competition.

The Wall Street Journal also talked about pressure-sensitive touchscreen technology similar to Apple’s 3D Touch with the iPhone 6s and other things, but it’s hard to say what will happen until more rumors or leaks come in.

We’ll have to wait for more concrete evidence to arrive, but for now, it’s going to be an exciting late February and early March for Samsung and Android fans as they can have four great smartphones. Stay tuned for more details.
