Galaxy S7 Concept Video Brings Rumors to Life

In recent weeks, we’ve started to see more reports, leaks and rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. Some even suggest a late February release date. This week, however, a fan-made concept video was released that appears to be an official Samsung promotional video, but has brought many rumors to life that isn’t.

Samsung’s popular Galaxy S6 didn’t launch until April, and it’s a big change for the company, which has completely redesigned its smartphone with an all-glass and aluminum premium design. The changes have caused some issues, such as the lack of a micro SD slot, but we hear this and more coming back with the Galaxy S7 in early 2016.

The video below was made by a fan, not a Samsung one, and essentially combines some of the latest rumors, the Galaxy S6, and recent leaks into one well-made product video of the Galaxy S7. It may be somewhat true or very wrong, but there’s no way of knowing until the actual leaks start to emerge. For now, this beautiful video gives us a good idea of ​​what could happen and brings the latest Galaxy S7 rumors to life.

We’ve heard a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S7 over the past two months. The first rumors surfaced in September, but it wasn’t until December that things started to heat up. Reports from Korea suggest a larger Galaxy S7 Plus is coming, these comments are somewhat “confirmed” by the famous leaker @evleaks It’s on Twitter and that’s just the beginning.

The video above shows the Galaxy S7, followed by a similar Galaxy S7 Plus with a larger screen and thinner bezels to allow for a larger display. It’s something we’ve heard time and time again in recent rumors. It looks like Samsung may launch a 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 similar to the Galaxy S6, followed by a Galaxy S7 Plus that rumors claim has a 6-inch display.

This leak suggests that Samsung will have a number of different colors for the new flagship smartphone and will go into some details about the 8-core processor and a new front and rear camera, but that’s it. Nothing about software, internals or anything else as we don’t have any concrete details yet.

However, reports also suggest that there will be a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and a Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. The curved flagship is returning its smartphone for another year, with the larger model Galaxy Note 6 arriving earlier in the year rather than later.

Last week, another Galaxy S7 video was released from popular leaker @Onleaks, who got their information from case makers. His video shows a pretty similar device, but with a minor change to the home button. In this video the home button is more square and rectangular, which is weird, but that’s about it. These leaks come from blueprints of the actual device that were sent to the case makers. At least according to these reports.

For now, there is no word on what will actually come out of Samsung with the Galaxy S7, but we hear it will look pretty similar, but with a few minor changes. Things like a more rounded design, thoroughly improved software, and a focus on the screen and camera rather than a complete redesign. Here is a list of potential features based on loose rumors.

Of course, these are nothing more than random details based on rumors, but some of the credible sources like the Korean Times or the Wall Street Journal not to mention the aforementioned leaks.

If this is all remotely true, and 3rd party accessory makers are already getting conclusive information about the phone, that could mean a very late February announcement and rumors that a March release date might be correct. It’s hard to say anything is true at this point, but more information will begin to surface as 2016 approaches and a possible release date approaches. Samsung could have four impressive new phones for buyers this March. We’ll have to wait and see.
