The Huawei Mate 8 has been confirmed to be released and is heading to several international markets with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and some high-powered features in tow.
Today at CES 2016, Huawei has confirmed its brand new flagship smartphone called the Mate 8. The arrival comes just weeks after Huawei and Google launched the Nexus 6P in the United States and international markets.
Like the Nexus 6P, the Huawei Mate 8 is an impressive device. Unlike the Nexus 6P, the Mate 8 will not come to the United States. At least not yet.
Huawai took the crowd on stage through the Mate 8 specifications.

On paper, the device is an impressive piece of machinery, and Android enthusiasts and smartphone buyers in international markets will want to keep it on their radar.

The Mate 8 has a 6-inch LCD, 1920 x 1080 with 368 pixels per inch, putting it on par with other flagship Android devices currently on the market.
Storage, Processor and Camera
It also has 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expanded storage up to 128GB, a massive 4,000mAh battery, 2.3GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 16MP rear camera (OIS, F2. 0, BSI CMOS and dual-tone flash), front-facing 8 MP camera, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0.
Software Design
It also has Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and EMUI 4.0. EMUI is Huawei’s custom user interface. It also includes a fingerprint sensor with improved speed and fast charging technology.
The Mate 8 design measures 157.1mm × 80.6mm × 7.9mm and weighs 185 grams. It will be available in champagne gold, moonlight silver, space gray and mocha brown.
Mate 8 Release Date
As of now, the company has no plans to launch the Mate 8 in the United States. However, it will launch the phone in more than 30 countries around the world.
The Mate 8 version will initially arrive in Spain, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Australia.
Mate 8 Price
As for the price, it will be on the expensive side. The company offers a price of 599 euros for the 3GB +32GB model and 699 euros for the 4GB +64GB model.
