WhatsApp: We’re finally able to make group video calls, here’s how

During Facebook’s F8 developer conference in early May 2018, we learned that WhatsApp has received a new group video calling feature. But until now it was still being tested and the distribution has not yet affected all users. The app announces that this is now the case: everyone can now take advantage of this option on Android as well as on iOS.

WhatsApp: up to four video calls can be made

“You can make group calls with up to 4 people whenever and wherever you want.He explains WhatsApp on his blog. “Group calls are always end-to-end encrypted and we are improving our calling features to work well with different connection types around the world”, is specified. Procedure to start a group call:

  • Start a normal voice or video call with a contact
  • Press the button on the top right Add participant to invite other people

And yes, nothing could be easier! Distribution began on the evening of 30 July. Make sure you have the latest version of the WhatsApp app, and if you haven’t already, you can enjoy the feature within hours, or at worst, days. And finally, a head-turning number: Facebook’s instant messaging app announces that more than 2 billion minutes are spent on calls (audio + video) every day.
