The second thing you probably noticed right away is that in VF it is impossible to change the voice of the assistant. However, Google announced some changes on the sidelines of MWC 2019. These sounds are of a particularly high quality: they are designed with WaveNet, a neural network. These are already available, but unfortunately not for ordinary mortals. Developers are currently the only ones who can choose one of these sounds in their apps. On our part, we think this marks the (finally!) arrival of real alternatives to Google Assistant’s default voice, whether on a smartphone or Google Home.
