Stephen A Smith He became a very famous name in the American sports industry as an analyst and earned the respect of various athletes of different generations. No matter how outspoken, he never tried to go beyond the extreme when criticizing or praising any athlete. His long tenure in the industry has allowed him to have closer interactions with many megastars of current and past generations. Stephen A. Smith is always willing to interact with current and former players to help strengthen the world of sports.

While appearing on “I AM ATHLETE”, he discussed many topics such as the handling of superstar player status, trade requests, the Cowboys team, and also his approach to “new media”. Stephen A Smith talks about the New Media concept.

While “New media” as phrased by Green himself has targeted critics and analysts for their “out of context” performances or “hard-to-digest comments about the actors”, Stephen A Smith has remained safe from this fire. Perhaps because of his close relationships with many of the “New Media” members, he was not included in their target list.
But in a recent episode of the “I Am Athlete” podcast, New Yorker Stephen A Smith talked about how he looks at ‘New Media’, “This[new media]means they are trying to convey the message that athletes have come and the way they are represented is no longer there. You all take over, we will make sure that what is projected is an accurate depiction of the athletes.”
Smith also said that he always wanted to give athletes a voice. “Well, I’m going to speak for myself. So I can be a little different when talking about unquoted new media the way other people do. Draymond Green caught me well because he was bringing up new media and I said, ‘Please,’ and then ‘Mr. Stephen A Smith, you You’re part of the new media,’ he said, and he started talking about how I do things.”
Stephen added, “I said, ‘Damn, you’re right. He made a point, because when you bring up the truth, okay, now we have a voice. I remember the days when you had no voice. So what did I do? I came to the rally and let him know that one of the reasons why he was willing to talk to me was that I said, ‘Hey, whatever you say, I’ll make sure this is propagated properly.
Continuing his efforts for athletes, Smith said: “‘When you came to me in the past, I said, ‘Whatever you say, I’ll make sure you hear.’ … We’ve known each other for years. It’s the same with him.”
Concluding his assessment of the new media, Smith added: “So what I’m proud of when men talk about ‘We have a voice now’ is that I’m not known as a cat who always tries to give a voice to athletes. Now, that doesn’t mean I agree with you, but I’ll make sure your point is heard.”
Stephen A Smith, 54, 28 years in the industry now, more than half of his life is spent in media houses; Analyzing, commenting, criticizing and praising any athlete’s good efforts. Whether it’s the NBA or Hockey, Smith had definite views and didn’t back down much from them.
