Former India captain Virat Kohli’s tough phase of the past few months has finally come to an end, but Kohli revealed that when he left the Test captaincy, no one other than former India captain MS Dhoni had sent him a message.

“I’ll tell you something. When I quit being test captain, only one person I played with texted me. This is MS Dhoni. A lot of people have my number. People make suggestions on TV. People have a lot to say. But those who knew my number didn’t text me,” Kohli said on Sunday. He made a statement after the match played here against Pakistan.

“When you respect someone and it’s sincere, it seems so because there’s a sense of security on both sides. He doesn’t need anything from me or anything from him.

Kohli was the top scorer for India against Pakistan in the Super 4 stage (44 balls and 60 runs), although the match ended in favor of the runner-up. In the same match, he outstripped captain Rohit Sharma to score the most fifty points (32) in the T20Is. So far, Kohli ranks first on the list of top goalscorers. Asian Cup 2022.

Kohli then went on to add how living with integrity helped him see things and would continue to play the way he played even though these things bothered him.

“Somehow, I live my life with integrity and I can see these things. I won’t say it doesn’t bother me, but you see the truth. The almighty rewards you when you play honestly for that long. “I will play this way as long as I am worthy of playing,” said Kohli.

If someone really wants to help him, according to him, they should talk to him personally.

“I’ll just say one thing. If I want to say something about anyone, I’ll say it individually. If you really want to help. If you give these suggestions in front of the world, it’s of no value. If it’s going to help me, you should talk one-on-one. If he really wants me to be good, ‘ he added.
