Google Play Store 14.5 beta: Material Design update, APK download

Google Play Store just got a beta update, report it to our colleagues 9to5Google. A few days after its arrival on Google Drive, Google’s new charting chart made a remarkable appearance in beta on the Play Store. As our colleagues have pointed out, some visual elements are still in development.

Google Play Store switches to Material Design: Download APK

without surprise, Material Design is proud to feature white. The traditional green of the app is much more discreet. It’s also worth noting that Google opted for the Google Sans font. Like Drive, the Play Store now benefits from a clearer bottom navigation bar that is easier to reach with your fingers. A set of shortcuts gives you access to categories such as “home”, “games”, “Movies & TV” or “books”. The first two categories have a green selection color, Play Store style, and the last two categories inherit a pink color like the Google Play Movies logo.

To test this new interface before it is deployed in the final version, You can join the beta program established by Google. Once this is done, you will soon receive an update directly to your smartphone.

For the most impatient, we invite you to download the APK of this new version directly from the APK Mirror site. If you don’t know how to do this, we suggest you take a look at our How to download APK on Android file. What do you think about this new version of the app? Do you like this Material Design?
