With the help of bowlers, especially Avesh Khan, India slammed the West Indies by 59 runs to clinch their five-game T20I series 3-1 at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida, USA on Saturday, August 6th.
India was asked to hit first, and with the help of Rohit Sharma’s rapid fire and Rishabh Pant’s brilliant hits, India put a massive 192 on the Windies. The West Indies are back in the dressing room by opening stars Brandon King and Kyle Mayers shortly after Avesh Khan and Axar Patel fired the shooters.
Rovman Powell and Windies captain Nicholas Pooran were the top scorers. Both scored 24 points. On the fifth, Patel fired a fuller shot and Pooran defended him and sought a quick single to the trench to continue the attack.
Kyle Mayers took off but then changed his mind. Pooran was halfway through the little door. Sanju Samson came in from the trench and threw the ball to the goalkeeper. Rishabh Pant rounded it up and lifted the bails after taunting an angry Pooran.
Powell got a full shot by Patel and, for one, managed to mis-timer him for an extended period of time. Deepak Hooda made no mistake and caught the ball.
Shimron Hetmyer had 19 laps with 19 balls, while Jason Holder scored 13 points out of nine balls.
Avesh Khan, Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi got two wickets each, while Avesh Khan got three wickets.
