The Escape Academy Opponent Room level, known as Until the End, is one of the most challenging levels in the game as the player not only has to solve puzzles but also beats Gillian, who is racing to complete them. The Rival Room is a series of linear challenges based on a variety of memory, math and logic challenges combined with some hands-on lateral thinking – basically a test for everything you’ve learned so far. And while the missions start out as manageable, some of the later ones are much, much more difficult. Fortunately, we’ve put together a complete step-by-step guide for players to use, which includes everything you need to know about how to beat To the Finish Rival Room and defeat Gillain in Escape Academy.
How to beat Escape Academy Opponent Room
The Escape Academy Opponent Room, as far as we can tell, is designed to feel a lot more tense than it actually is. The player can see Gillian’s progress on the course and comes forward frequently, making you understandably nervous – but we don’t think she can win unless the standard quest timer actually runs out, so she’ll likely get a massive early clue and then be stunned for twenty minutes on the final puzzle.
With that in mind, anyone who wants to try and beat the Rival Room without our explanation below should try not to panic – as noted below Escape Academy water level and threshing crossword, “Fear slows your mind.” You probably won’t get anywhere just by squeezing the buttons, so stop and think for a second and work out the formulas in your head…or if you’re really stuck, use our step-by-step route, which works too.
The first puzzle in the Escape Academy Rival Room is a short, simple and relatively easy puzzle for placing different sized gears on a board, so turning the lever on the left turns the mechanism on the right. Here is the process:
- Receive Big Gear from the orange box to the left of the board.
- Receive Medium Gear from the orange box on the right of the board.
- Receive Small Gear from the wardrobe to the left of the first box.
- Place the Large Gear on the lower left pin, the Small Gear on the middle pin between the two fixed gears and the Medium Gear on the rightmost pin.
- Turn the left lever to open the door and escape.
The next puzzle in Escape Academy Rival Room is more lateral thinking – a kind of riddle. Around the room will be busts of a dozen ex-escape specialists, each named after him. What separates you and Gillian is a glass wall with all the names written horizontally on it – but they reflect for you, looking back at them. A screen says “Which 3 can you both see?” he asks.
reply TIMMY, WYATT and MAX. The puzzle is about perspective – as you do, all their names are legible even when turned upside down and viewed from behind. Push these three busts against the red panels on the back to open the door and continue.
The third puzzle in the Escape Academy Rival Room is split into two halves – you must first find the comparative weight of the five… er, by balancing the weights against each other on the given scales and entering the numbers in the green area of the screen on the wall. For those who won’t wait, here are the weights of weights.
- Red: 1KG
- Blue: 2KG
- Orange: 4KG
- Green: 3KG
- White: 5KG
The key is not a million miles away from removing the patterns. Escape Academy Breakout and Serial Numbers mission. Either way, once this is resolved you have access to three seesaws with target weights of 7KG, 9KG and 14KG each. Each seesaw also has three pegs labeled “x1”, “x2” and “x3” respectively. If you can’t guess, putting weights on these pegs increases their overall weight on the seesaw. So if you put White 5KG weight on a x3 nail, it adds 15KG to the total weight on the seesaw. You also need to complete all three at once – so, with that in mind, the solution is as follows:
- 7kg: Place White 5KG on x1 and Red 1KG on x2.
- 9kg: Place the green 3KG on x3
- 14kg: Place Orange 4KG on x3 and Blue 2KG on x1.
Once this is done, the next door should open and take you to the fourth floor.
This is probably one of the toughest puzzles in Escape Academy and definitely the worst in Rival Room. The player is faced with a panel of obscure six buttons and three rings that they can rotate in groups, and must rotate them in such a way that they can press the buttons on their various surfaces in a certain order and do them all. He nine or fewer button presses. It’s a dreadful and likely take on this step-by-step puzzle – and luckily, we have a solution.
- Left purple button.
- Left green button.
- Get in the ring and trigger the Circle.
- Left orange button.
- Left orange button again.
- Get in the ring and trigger Spade, then trigger Club.
- Right green button.
- Right purple button.
- Get in the ring and trigger Triangle.
- Left green button.
- Get in the ring and trigger Square.
- Right green button.
- Climb on the Ring and trigger the Diamond, then the Heart.
Once you’ve done that, head through the door to the final section.
The final puzzle in the Escape Academy Opponent Room, the double-sided safe is exactly what it sounds like – a safe that you both try to open through doors on either side. To open it, you’ll need to get three medals that you’ve earned from puzzle boxes that surround it, which you press on its door. Each puzzle is pretty easy to manage on its own, but knowing where to start can be a little tricky and you might not have much time after those damn button rings. We’ve listed how to complete them and beat them below – just find the corresponding number and work from there.
- Start with the box labeled start appropriately enough. The tiles turn and turn black when you touch them – push the tiles so that the pattern matches the puzzle pattern around the case (very black in the middle, corners and ends). This will give you a Locker Key.
- Take that Key and Use it to unlock Puzzle Box two. It’s a tough puzzle, but inside there is a note that says “Ring the Bells Darling” underlined with G, E, A, E, and D.
- Going to the third box and ring the bells in the order G – E – A – E – D. The box will open and display a Bronze Medal as well as a note saying “when the pigs fly” you will escape.
- Go to the dial in puzzle box 4 and rotate its head and legs like a pig’s, then make the central dial winged. It will open the box and there will be an arrow pattern inside.
- Use the pattern to open box 5 – up – right – up – left – down. The box will open and give you 1, 5 and 10 Cent coins.
- The coins will open box 6 and will get you four playing cards if you place them in the slots that add up the totals. Solution (going from left to right and down):
- 1 Cent – 5 Cents – 10 Cents
- 1 Cent – 10 Cent – 1 Cent
- Go to the clock in box 7 – each of the four hands of the clock has a set of playing cards marked on it. Pressing the button of the same suit on the clock moves the corresponding hand and the cards tell you what to set them to. The solution is Club: 3, Diamonds: Queen, Spades: 7, Cups: King. The door should open and give you the Silver Medal and the word Bane.
- It’s not that hard – go to box 8 and translate to bane. There is a box of marbles inside.
- Use the balls in the funnels in box 9 to set them. Now you need to trigger the orange or yellow ball dispensers to roll them into the matching color containers (so that the orange balls fall into the orange containers, etc.), but each time you drop one, it flips the levers and changes the trajectory. after one. Therefore, leave them in this order: yellow, yellow, orange, yellow, orange, orange. This will give you a Gold Medal.
- Take all three medals and place them in the corresponding slots Double-Sided vault to open it, get the trophy and win the Opponent Room.
