Google Assistant: You can ask it to delete the last conversation heard

Integrated into most Android smartphones and speakers connected to Google Nest Hub or Google Home, Google Assistant records private conversations, sometimes without being invited. The voice assistant sometimes incorrectly reacts to a word from a user or even from your television, which is interpreted as a voice command. These non-essential reactions are not uncommon if you have multiple Google speakers at home.

Here are the voice commands to delete a conversation

Google just added a voice command aimed at deleting the last speech heard, let our colleagues know from Droid Life. The company’s online assistant page lists a few commands for deleting a request without having to go through the Google Home app. Here they are:

• “Ok Google, delete my last conversation.”
• “Ok Google, delete today’s events.”
• “Ok Google, delete this week’s event.”
• “Ok Google, this wasn’t for you” to delete what you just said.

Therefore, we will notice that the last voice command has been added. We would like to remind you that all conversations recorded by Google Assistant are stored in the cloud for 3 months. After this time, Google deletes all data from its servers.

Amazon already offers a similar option to users of an Alexa-equipped speaker. To turn it on, simply tick the “Enable sound suppression” option in the Alexa app’s settings. When done, say “Alexa, delete what I just said” to delete the last change.
