John Isner set a new record for most aces ever on the ATP Tour, hitting his fifth ace in a third-round match against Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon on Friday. With 13,729 unstoppable serves and counts, the 6-foot-10 American beat Ivo Karlovic’s previous record of 13,728.
John Isner set a record in just two serve games in Wimbledon’s No. 2 Court on Friday, hitting the historic ace at 1-1, 15/30. “It’s actually really great. It’s something I’m really proud of” Isner said before the third round game. “I will be the leader of all time. I will keep playing, I will keep adding to my total… [the record] it will break. I can stay there for a long time.”

John Isner, leader in the 2022 ace race
As of Friday, the American is also the leader in the 2022 ace race with 629 points. The 37-year-old has surpassed 1,000 aces seven times and placed first on the ATP Tour in that category. In 2015, he set a career record with 1,260 aces. After Isner turned pro in 2007, he first reached both milestones in 2010.
Thanks to his strong serve, Isner also won 92% of service games and 79% of first serve points. Additionally, it saved 71% of breakpoints. Isner, who won 16 titles at tour level and reached career-high #8 at Pepperstone ATP Ranking In 2018, it has a frightening style based on this superior power.
