The Galaxy S9 is available on all major carriers in the United States and around the world. It’s also sold at Target, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Sam’s Club retail stores and more. Not to mention Samsung’s own website, which has the lowest price.
Before we get started, it’s worth noting that Samsung only offers an incentive, as we’ve seen in previous years. it’s free Dex Pad if you buy from Samsung.com. No free Gear VR this year. However, we have other great deals worth sharing. Like savings of up to $450 if you buy from the right store or swap for an old phone. Pricing is different everywhere, so it’s important to know when and where to buy the Galaxy S9.
Best Samsung Galaxy S9 Deals
Still one of the best deals right now Buying the Galaxy S9 from Wal-Mart. As crazy as it sounds, when you sign a new installment plan at Verizon, AT&T or Sprint, they steal $150 off the phone. Instead of spending over $900 for the Galaxy S9+, Wal-Mart just demand $764 from you. This is available in store only.
Seriously, but phone from Wal-Mart or Samsung.com as they are the only two places without price gouging. Additionally, you can save about $500 by switching to Verizon or AT&T. However, only a few buyers will want to change carriers. For everyone else, Best Buy or Wallyworld are your best bets. That said, we’re seeing some good deals from Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile in mid-April.
Honestly, the best place to buy the Galaxy S9 is Samsung itself. This is because carriers charge more for no reason. It raises the price by more than $100 from Samsung.com. Also, Samsung will give you a better deal on swaps that you will get instantly.
For starters, carriers like , while you’ll save $80 instantly. However, with an affordable trade-in, you can get the Galaxy S9 for as little as $370. Samsung.com. They’re $930 on Verizon and $940 on AT&T, while they’re asking $839 for the S9+. Absurd.
The current deal on Samsung’s website gives you up to $350 to trade in an eligible smartphone. Note that you will need to trade in for a relatively new phone like the Galaxy S8 or the new iPhone to get the maximum trade-in value. If you do, though, you can get the $370 S9 or the $490 S9+. Trade the Pixel 2, LG V30, iPhone 7 or similar for $300 off.
You get an instant $350 discount, payment or financing easier to manage. Just send your old phone within 15 days. Samsung is also giving everyone a free Dex Pad until May 13, 2018.
Buy the Best Galaxy S9 Deals
Another option is to get the Galaxy S9 from Best Buy. They match pricing and promotions from each carrier (except T-Mobile) and will give you $100 for purchasing from them instead of your carrier.
Basically, they offer the same deal as Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint. We see mention of “up to $100 off”, but they don’t explain what will allow you to get that discount.
However, you can always buy your phone with 24 months interest-free financing using your Best Buy credit card. Keep this in mind. Not to mention a free Samsung SmartThings Home Monitor kit when you get the S9 from BB.
Get your Galaxy S9 from Best Buy
T-Mobile Galaxy S9 Prices
The next best place to buy this phone is from T-Mobile. This is because they match Samsung’s pricing, they don’t increase it, and a buy one get one free deal. Yes, there are a few strings attached, but this link goes over everything.
With T-Mobile, the Galaxy S9 is only $719 on the equipment installment plan, or $30 per month. For the S9+, you’ll pay $30 per month after depositing $839 or $120 upfront.
Then, the other T-Mobile deal, you can get up to $360 off when you trade in an eligible phone. These savings are not instantaneous (like Samsung’s website) and will instead come in the form of credits from your monthly bill for the life of the Galaxy S9 monthly payment plan. Basically, you pay less each month until you get $360 off.
AT&T Galaxy S9 Prices
We’re seeing a pretty good 50% off deal for the Galaxy S9 from AT&T. However, this only applies to the smaller Galaxy S9, not the Galaxy S9+. You can still get a good discount on AT&T a few different ways. Most rely on getting DirecTV, but not all.
More information available right here. As expected, it is not as exciting as it seems. To take advantage of the 50% discount, you must add a new line or be a new customer. This is only available for a limited time when you get the S9 on AT&T Next, set up automatic debit, and have paperless billing. Yes, you have to do all of them to qualify.

Verizon Galaxy S9 Prices
Verizon is offering a fairly similar $350 trade as everyone else. However, if you’re a new customer, they’ll save you $500 off the S9 or S9+ by adding a $150 Mastercard gift card. And at one point, they made a buy-a-buy deal. Now you can get $300 off the S9+ directly or $200 off the smaller Galaxy S9. You sign up for the full amount, but save $300 over the 24-month rental period.
Verizon’s Galaxy S9 is $33.33 a month for 24 months, or $800 outright. The larger S9+ is $38.74 a month for 24 months, or $930 outright. Yep, that’s $100 more than Samsung is asking for the unlocked model. However, as you can see above, they will cut $300 off that price.
Then here’s how barter deals with Verizon (and most carriers) work. Galaxy S8, S8+, S8 Active, iPhone X, iPhone 8 etc. Get $350 off if you trade with. Then, save $300 for Galaxy S7, LG G6, LG V30, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL and similar devices. Then these drop to $200 for older devices.
So, trade in your old Galaxy S7 and come from a different carrier and save $450. That makes the Galaxy S9 just $450. Or if none of these apply to you, get one that buys.
Sprint Galaxy S9 Prices
Sprint recently ended a deal with one domain, and now the phones are only available to buy or rent. They offer slightly lower prices than most carriers, but that’s about it. We’ll update when we learn more or if some deals change.
Then, like Verizon and AT&T, Sprint will give you a Galaxy with a convenient trade-in and up to $500 off when you switch from another carrier. Again, most people don’t hop from a carrier to Sprint, but it’s an option if you need it. Otherwise, you can trade in your old phone even if you’re an existing Sprint customer.
With Sprint, you’ll get the Galaxy S9 for $33 a month with Flex Lease, or you’ll pay $792 directly. So at least cheaper than Verizon or AT&T. The S9+ is $38 per month on rental or $912 full price. Take advantage of the opportunity to buy one while it’s still available.
So far, Sprint doesn’t have the full list of devices eligible for the entire $350 trade-in, but we’re assuming it’s the same as everyone else. Next, new customers carrying the number one will receive an additional $150 VISA gift card, making the Galaxy S9 cost less than $500 for all said and done.
Other details
The only real “Galaxy S9 deals” right now come from Walmart, Verizon or Samsung itself. However, we expect some lucrative deals, more discounts at Best Buy, and more savings in late April and early May in the coming weeks.
