Even if you’re not in the same place, you can duet with your friends on Musical.ly. You have to follow each other because you can’t create a duet unless they follow you too.
- Find a musical for someone you follow.
- Tap the … icon in the bottom right.
- Then select start duet now.
Now you have to make a musical as you normally would and you’re ready to do a duet.

How to Record Without Pressing a Button on Musical.ly?
You no longer need to hold down the button to record musical.ly. Open the app and then you have to tap on the Plus sign. Now choose your recording method and tap the timer-like icon.
You can now record music.ly without holding the button. The app will give you a five-second countdown before you start recording. Then you can tap the red circle to stop recording.
How to Make Your Musical.ly Account Private?
You can make your Musical.ly account private so other users cannot see your music unless they follow you and you approve.
Go to your profile by tapping the head in the bottom left, and then tap the Settings cog in the top right.
Next, tap on Settings and scroll down until you see Private Account. You can open it later.
