Tutorial: How to tag your MP3 files on Android

Attention, if you are under KitKat, your music files must be in your phone’s internal memory. This version of Google’s operating system does not allow apps to access SD cards.

However, there is a trick to solving the SD card issue within the scope of KiKat. However, it must be rooted.
