After the first public beta released last April, it’s been nearly two weeks since Google released Android 13 Beta 2 at the annual Google I/O conference, bringing with it some new changes in the next major Android release. In addition to improving Material You themes and apps for tablets, This update also allowed all smartphone manufacturers to make their devices compatible. The list of devices eligible for the beta has therefore been greatly expanded.

Android 13 beta 2.1 brings fixes for Pixels
Google has released Android 13 Beta 2.1. The update brings a host of bug fixes and some stability improvements for Pixel smartphones. One of the fixes should fix an issue with: typing information into the search bar results in an empty list of suggestions.
Smartphones also faced a problem. a device freezes and restarts when mobile hotspot is enabled. Other fixes fix an issue when: Devices freeze and restart after disconnecting Android Auto and where else a call dial tone can be heard in the background during a phone call.
The update is being sent OTA (over-the-air) to supported Pixel devices (Pixel 4, 4a, 5, 5a, 6 and 6 Pro series) enrolled in the Android Beta program. You can check if the update is available on your device by going to Settings > System > System updates. Those who are currently using a preview version of Android 13 will automatically get this update and the following.
In June, Google will release a new beta of Android 13, this time bringing a whole new set of new features. In particular, this new version is expected to change the design of the app search suggestions on the Pixel launcher.
