All Evil Dead game characters and demons make a pretty princely roster as you enter Evil Dead: The Game, with thirteen different survivors and three powerful demon variations (all kinds of minions are controlled). But what characters are there? Which Evil Dead game characters are the best? And can anyone play as Bruce Campbell? With 22 known playable characters (and four or five variations of Ash Williams from different parts of the series), a wide range of abilities to choose from. Also, from what we understand at the time of writing, only one of each class can be selected in a game – so all survivors will have to be different classes. Still, that means anyone can be Ash Williams, and what more could you ask for? Even the Demon player can try to become Army of Darkness’ Evil Ash or “Bad Ash”.

Choosing the best characters and demons isn’t easy – since this is a class-based game, everyone needs to be good at something else, and many of these skills are incomparable. That’s why we’ve divided them into their respective classes to determine which is best in these particular groups! Choose these and you will showcase the best of your class abilities.

• Best Hunter: Amanda Fisherman
  • If you haven’t got it yet, check out how to unlock Amanda Fisher in Evil Dead here. Otherwise, the main thing to remember is that Amanda needs some time to level up, but once you have all her powers, she’s more deadly with a pistol than any character with a ranged weapon. The power to increase damage by making consecutive hits fatal against powerful demon bosses.
• Best Leader: Lord Arthur
  • You won’t get Lord Arthur until you solve the notorious “Homecoming King” quest, which we show you how to do in the Evil Dead game quest 5 step-by-step, but it’s worth it. A few levels and Arthur permanently increases the melee damage of anyone standing close to him and can increase it further with his active skills. Stay close and your team will destroy any enemies that dare to approach.
• Best Support: Ash Williams (Bad Dead)
  • The original Ash’s power to restore health to himself and those around him by launching heavy attacks is unbelievable. If only there was a way to cure fear… oh, wait, that’s his active skill! So while you’re dealing with the two main threats to your party, there’s very little danger left. Level up and he can mark enemies with headshots, increasing the damage dealt to them, and even damaging marked enemies can do so to grant even more health.
• Best Warrior: Ash Williams (Army of Darkness)
  • It’s another Ash, but how can Bruce Campbell not dominate the meta at least partially? Like Amanda Fisher, leveling up third Ash Williams is somewhat necessary to unleash her full potential, but the power to restore shields with finishers, big Deal to survive, because you can effectively cut the way to high defenses.
• Best Demon: Wizard
  • Well, another Ash for good measure. Demons are all essentially equal, but the Necromancer takes this for giving shields to his minions, making Evil Ash one of the scariest unstoppable tanks around, blending a combination of strategic and frontline forces.
