For example, recently the app announced that the duration of videos was extended from one minute to three minutes, and in June Tiktok launched Jump, an interactive video system that allows users to add links and widgets to their content. The social network could also eclipse LinkedIn with a new platform that allows users to apply for job offers.
Interestingly, TikTok has grown steadily despite its many privacy issues. In the US, the app was nearly banned after the government accused the app’s parent company, ByteDance, of selling user data to the Chinese government. The sanctions were lifted by Joe Biden last month.
