In an increasingly automation-friendly world, it feels a little tedious to have to open the same web pages every time you start your computer. In particular, with all the tools Windows provides, it’s not at all difficult to set up your computer to open a series of web pages on boot.
We will show you several different ways to install Windows 10 to open web pages at startup. You will have a hard time choosing your favorite method as they are all pretty simple. So without wasting any time, let’s get straight to the point.
1. Use the Startup Folder
As the name suggests, the Startup utility in Windows was created to launch programs when your computer starts. In addition to being useful for launching applications and scripts, the startup folder can also be used to open web pages at boot time in Windows 10. How to do it is explained below.
Stage 1: Open any web browser on your PC and navigate to the website you want to launch at boot. Copy the URL of the website from the address bar at the top.

Step 2: Now press Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog, type shell:start box and press Enter.

Stage 3: Right click anywhere inside the startup folder, go to New and select Shortcut from the submenu.

Step 4: In the Create Shortcut window, paste the URL of the website into the box and click Next.

Step 5: Finally, enter a suitable name for the shortcut and click Finish.

Associated with it. Now that you have created a shortcut for the website in the startup folder, Windows will automatically load the website on startup. Similarly, you can add more shortcuts to the Startup folder to launch multiple websites on boot.
2. Run a Batch File
Another way to start websites on startup is to create a batch file. This method is useful when you initially intend to launch several websites. Here’s how it works.
Stage 1: Press Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog, type shell:start box and press Enter.
Step 2: Right click anywhere inside the startup folder and go to New and select Text document from the list.

Stage 3: Open your newly created text document and paste the command given below.
start
In the above command, replace it with the actual site address of the web page you want to launch.

Similarly, you can add more launch commands to your document to open multiple web pages at startup.

Step 4: Now use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S to save the file as .bat.

And you are ready. Windows should now run this batch file containing the URLs of all your favorite websites every time it starts.
3. Use Task Scheduler
Task Scheduler is a useful utility in Windows with which you can automate almost any task on your computer. With it, you can launch programs, execute commands, and even program your PC to shut down when certain triggers and conditions match. Of course, you can also use this tool to launch websites on startups. Read on to find out how.
Stage 1: Open any web browser on your PC and navigate to the website you want to launch at startup. Click the lock icon to the left of its URL in the address bar and drag it to the desktop.

Step 2: Now open the Start menu, type task Schedulerand press Enter.

Stage 3: Now, in the Actions pane on the right, click on Create Basic Task.

Step 4: Enter an appropriate name for the task in the Create Basic Task Wizard. Optionally, you can also write a short description of the task. Then click Next.

Step 5: Under the trigger, select ‘When the computer starts’ from the list as we want to launch the website at startup and click Next.

Step 6: On the Action tab, select Start a program. Then press Next.

Step 7: Now, under Program/script, browse to the website shortcut created earlier.
Alternatively, you can create a batch file to launch multiple websites on startup and paste the file path under Program/script.

Step 8: Finally, verify the task details in the Finish tab and click Finish.

Once you have completed the steps above, Task Scheduler will run the shortcut or batch file every time your computer starts.
Preparing the Jobs
Having loads of web pages ready every time your computer boots up saves you a lot of time. It also eliminates the need to repeat the same steps every day. Besides web pages, you can use the above methods to launch other applications and programs.
