Now that we’ve learned what Gravatars are and how to change the default Gravatars in WordPress, the only thing we haven’t discussed in detail yet is how to disable Gravatars on your website.
This is really a very simple thing to do. All you have to do is go to your admin control panel and click on it. Settings > Discussion.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page avatar Episode. Under avatar screen you will find Show Avatar choice. Uncheck the box and that’s it. You have now successfully disabled Gravatars on your WordPress website.
…and It’s a Wrap
With this article, we have come to the end of our Gravatar trilogy. If you’ve read them all, you now know what Gravatars are, how to install them, how to change the default WordPress Gravatar, and how to completely disable Gravatars on your WordPress website.
Gravatars can help you create a recognizable online identity, whether individually or as a brand. Our advice is not to create multiple Gravatar accounts as some people prefer to do, but to create one and stick with it. Of course, if you want to keep your personal and business accounts separate, go ahead and separate the two. Other than that, it’s best to use only one account and one picture. This will make it much easier for people to remember you. Make the most of Gravatars and use them to prove you and your brand are reliable and authentic.
