iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8 in video: Comparisons prove superiority of A11 Bionic processor

Since the launch of the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, most benchmarks seem to point to Apple’s A11 Bionic processor as a powerhouse. This chip literally crushes the Snapdragon 835 of the best Android smartphones and even rivals the last generation MacBook Pro in terms of performance. So the creator of Geekbench said that the iPhone is now several years ahead of Android. This difference in power has sparked a lively debate. Some believe the benchmarks are simply fraudulent.

iPhone X vs Galaxy Note 8: Samsung’s flagship is no match

To put an end to this debate, American site Appleinsider decided to take the bull by the horns by running a “multi-bench” video test to compare the performance of the iPhone X and iPhone X. Galaxy Note 8 under Exynos 8895 in the main benchmarking apps: Antutu, Geekbench, GFX, JetStream Basemark… the tests are performed in real time with two smartphones in front of the camera, removing any suspicion of tampering.

The result is clear. On Antutu, the iPhone X scores 31% higher than the Note 8. In Antutu HTML 5 the difference is 62%. The score is 17% higher on Basemark OS. In Geekbench 4, there is a 100% difference in single-core and 53% in multi-core. In Jetstream 1.1 (javascript) the difference is even bigger and the iPhone X is 150% more powerful than the Galaxy Note 8. In short, the Galaxy Note 8 suffered a real smack in almost all benchmarks. Only in the 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme test, the Samsung flagship managed to outperform the iPhone X with a 1% advantage. Hopefully the new Exynos 9810 processor in the Galaxy S9 can fill that gap.
