While Google Forms gives users the freedom to customize the content of any form type, there is limited control over notifications of responses received. By default, Google Forms does not automatically send email notifications for new responses to forms unless you enable them in the form settings.
When you do this, the email notification will not include form responses. This means you have to visit your Google Forms dashboard to view the respondent’s responses to your form.

Why waste time and internet bandwidth by leaving your inbox on the Google Forms dashboard when you can have the replies show up in the notification mail?
A Google Forms plugin that allows you to achieve this and everything you need to know to do it is in this post below.
Installing the Plugin
Stage 1: Open the form whose response you want to see directly in your email. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper left corner.

Step 2: Select Add-ons.

This opens the G Suite Marketplace (an online store for web apps compatible with Google Apps) in a new window.
Now we will install the plugin that will allow you to receive the content of the form responses directly to your email inbox.
Stage 3: Medicine Email Notification for Google Forms enter it in the search box and select the relevant application on the results page.

Step 4: Tap the Install button.

Step 5: Tap Continue to grant ‘Email Notification for Google Form’ add-on access to your account.

Do this and a new window will open asking you to sign in to your Google account.
Step 6: Enter your account credentials and sign in.

After successfully signing in to your account, the plugin’s required permissions will be listed and the interface will once again ask you to allow it to access your account.
Step 7: Tap Allow to grant the necessary permissions to the add-on.

A security alert notification will be sent to your email stating that ‘Email Notifications for Forms’ has the required access.
You can now continue to use the plugin to customize your form response to include the content of the respondent’s responses.
Sending Form Responses to Your Email
Stage 1: When you’re done creating or editing your form in the Google Forms dashboard, tap the plugin icon in the top left corner of the page.

Step 2: Tap on ‘Email Notifications for Google Forms’.

Stage 3: In the new window that opens, select the ‘Create Email Notification’ option.

This opens a new section in the lower left corner of the Google Forms page. This is where you customize the content of the form responses to be sent to your email.
Step 4: Type a name in the Rule Name field. The rule name can be the same as your form title/name. That way, the rule will be easily identifiable if you need to edit it later.

Sstep 5: Next, enter the email address you want form responses to be sent to. It can be the same email address linked to your Google Forms account or a completely different email address.

Step 6: Scroll to the bottom of the window and tap the Save Rule button to finalize all changes.

And that’s it. You will be notified when a new response is received on your form, with the respondent(s) response/responses appearing directly in the mail.

You will no longer need to visit the Google Forms dashboard to view responses to your forms, unless you want to.
Customizing the Answer Selection and Template
Another thing I like about this plugin is that it allows users to customize the template of form responses.
This means you can choose the questions whose answers you want to display in your inbox.
Stage 1: Tap the Edit button next to ‘Use visual editor’.

This opens a new ‘Email Template Designer’ window.
Step 2: If you only need to view responses to a specific question, clear ‘{{All Answers}}’ in the message body and tap the ‘Add Form Field’ drop-down button.

Stage 3: Under the ‘Reply…’ section, select the question you want to see the answer to in the reply email.

You can select multiple questions one after the other.
Step 4: Under the General section of the form field, the Form URL, Response Date, Response ID, etc. You can also choose to add other optional details, such as

Simply tap any of them to add them to your template.
Step 5: Tap the Save button when you’re done customizing your form template.
