If you’re a new Bumble user, you probably have a lot of questions about how the app works, how to set up your profile, how to find matches, and more.
One of the most common questions we get is: How do you know if there’s a match on Bumble?
In this post, I’ll answer that question, as well as provide some general information on how to get started with Bumble and how to get the most out of your Bumble experience.
Getting Started with Bumble
You can download the Bumble app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and then install it. You used to have to have a Facebook profile to sign up for a Bumble account, but that has changed and you can now create an account with your phone number.
If you link your Bumble account to your Facebook profile, it will automatically import your age and location from Facebook, and you can also take photos from your Facebook account. If you are creating an account with only one phone number, you must manually add this information yourself.
Your next step is to create a bio for yourself and add images. Your bio is limited to 300 characters (about 50 or 60 words), so space is limited!
You’ll also only have six images, so you’ll want to count them. Bumble will give you the opportunity to add a ton of information about yourself, such as your height, level of exercise, how much training you have, whether you drink, whether you have a pet, whether you have (or want) children. what you are looking for on the site and more. You can also enter your hometown, current place of residence and link your Spotify and Instagram accounts to tell potential matches more about yourself.
Once your profile is created, it’s actually easy to use Bumble. Just open the app and start swiping left or right on the contacts available to you. If you like someone you see on Bumble, swipe right to match them. Swipe left if you don’t like what you see. If you make a mistake, stop immediately.
Bumble lets you undo the previous swipe if you shake your phone. Unlike Tinder, which only offers this as a paid option, Bumble lets you do it for free, but you only get three backlinks every three hours, so be careful. (You can also buy more returns if you buy the premium service tier.)
How to Tell When You’ve Got a Match on Bumble
Knowing you’ve found a match on Bumble is actually pretty simple – the app will send you a notification to your phone.
If you miss the notification, when you go to the Bumble app itself, tap the chat notification (it looks like a small text box) in the top right corner; Your Match Queue will be displayed. New matches will be shown there. If you are a woman, you can enter the chat directly; If you’re a man, you should wait for the woman to text you first.
If I had matches, the matches would be in the match queue. I’m currently focusing on my career!
If there are matches in your turn, but the conversation does not start within 24 hours, the match will be lost. Although you are only entitled to one free Overtime per day, men and women can extend a match by 24 hours. (Premium tier users get unlimited matches.)
