iPhone Case Adds Headphone Jack to iPhone 7

The Incipio OX case adds back the headphone jack that Apple got on the latest iPhones. Announced at CES 2017, the Incipio OX case will be available soon for $59.99 in both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sizes.

The Incipio OX case attaches to the iPhone 7’s Lightning port and adds a little more chin to the phone. Inside this chin are both the headphone jack and the Lightning port. The headphone jack can be used with any wired headphones while the phone charges simultaneously via the Lightning port.

Other than the extra length and a pair of ports, the Incipio OX case looks pretty standard fare. The front of the case has a few holes near the iPhone’s microphone and speaker to allow sound to pass through the case. It will be available in black, forest green and purple.

When Apple introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus last year, it got rid of the headphone jack, disappointing many iPhone fans. The company is pushing iPhone users to buy Bluetooth headphones, but some users aren’t ready to give up their beloved wired headphones and AUX cables. The fact that Incipio sees the market for an accessory such as the Incipio OX case is proof of this reaction.
