In an article published Monday, March 14, 2022, our colleagues at 9to5Mac reveal new information about the future iPhone lineup. Citing anonymous sources, the outlet claims that Apple should. Reject iPhone 14 in four different models.
Satellite link for future iPhone 14
As expected, Apple would launch an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. After the disastrous sales of the mini model, the firm stopped costs and focus on big screen smartphones.
The standard iPhone 14 will therefore be available in two variants: a version with a 6.1-inch display and A Max model with a 6.7-inch panel. The screen resolution is said to be similar to the iPhone 13 Pro released last year. On the other hand, the plate of the iPhone 14 Pro will be slightly larger than its predecessors to accommodate the double hole.
The mid-range focused iPhone 14 and 14 Max would be powered by the A15 Bionic chip, the same processor as the iPhone 13. It took everyone by surprise that Apple reserved the new A16 Bionic chipset for high-end versions. This is not a first for the brand. Apple did this with the iPhone 5C.
But according to 9to5Mac, Apple can a slightly revised A15 chip on iPhone 14. The brand has two chipsets, including a version with an additional GPU. Also, all models have 6GB of RAM to support the SoC.
Finally, the media claims Apple is still working on it satellite connection for their iPhone. There was a rumor last year that the group was working on a feature that would make it possible to connect to satellites to make calls and send SOS messages.
There were rumors that this option was integrated into the iPhone 13. It wasn’t. However, 9to5Mac,Apple continues to work on this satellite link. For now, we don’t know if the technology will be ready for the arrival of the iPhone 14.
