iPad Air 3 Release May Coming Early This Year

We’ve seen the iPad Pro launch instead of an iPad Air 3 that was released in the fall. But a new report points to the possibility of the iPad Air 3 arriving earlier this year.

Earlier last year, the iPad Air 3 was expected to launch in the fall, as Apple usually planned with the iPad and has been for the past few years, but it turns out the company has changed course a bit and skipped the release. In 2015, it focused on the iPad Air 3 and the iPad Pro instead.

The iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch display, making it Apple’s most expensive tablet as well as the largest iPad ever. Apple also released the iPad mini 4, but the iPad Air 3 was nowhere to be found. A few rumors hinted at this possibility, but Apple made it official in September when they combined iPhone and iPad announcements, which are usually split into two events over the past years.

However, as it’s 2016, this may finally be a new year of iPad Air, and new rumors point to it launching earlier this year, not fall.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (through AppleInsider), the iPad Air 3 is expected to launch in the first half of 2016, possibly during the rumored March event that Apple may organize and announce new Apple Watch products and the iPhone 5se (aka iPhone 6c). ).

It’s also possible that the iPad Air 3 will be unveiled during WWDC, but Apple is likely to leave that slot open for new MacBooks coming later this year.

It’s not unusual for Apple to launch new iPads earlier in the year. In fact, the company did this with the first three generations of the iPad, and even launched the fourth-generation iPad just a few months after the third-generation model was released.

That said, the time between the iPad Air 2 and iPad Air 3 will be the longest between iPad refreshes, but this could be a move Apple has made back in the new iPad releases earlier in the year.

Still, the iPad Air 2 is still a great tablet. The tablet comes with the A8X 64-bit processor and 2GB of memory, a first for any iOS device when it first came out.

Of course, with the iPad Air 3 we should see better performance, a better camera and a lower price on the iPad Air 2, making the last generation iPad an even better deal when the iPad Air 3 comes out.
