Journalist Mark Gurman once again talked about Apple’s upcoming mixed reality headset in his new “Power On” news release. To his knowledge, beta versions of iOS 16, codenamed Sydney, are “full of references to the headset and its interactions with the iPhone.” The latter is often called “Apple Glass”, although this name is not final.
Although a full presentation of the headset will be excluded soon, Apple may start talking about its first virtual reality and augmented reality headset at its next conference, WWDC 2022, which will be held from June 6-10, 2022. Indeed, the conference will first and foremost be a presentation opportunity for Apple. New operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac. That said, Apple is promoting a few products out there like an iMac Pro and more details on mixed reality projects to developers.

What do we know about Apple’s mixed reality headset?
According to information from Ming-Chi Kuo, we learned that Apple could release the mixed reality headset to a very limited market by the end of this year. This initial release is reserved above all for developers who will be responsible for designing compatible apps so that the public can benefit from them for years to come.
Thus, Ming-Chi Kuo also revealed that the first helmet version would definitely be expensive. It is also expected that this new device from Apple will reuse elements of other products, including the 96W charger of the MacBook Pro 2021. This shows thatApple is considering bringing some power to its headphones. So it will feed two processors of the helmet: one will be engraved at 5 nm, the second will be engraved at 4 nm. Finally, we know it will have a big advantage over its competitors: it would be much lighter and more comfortable.
