5 Things to Know About the iPadOS 14.1 Update

Apple has released the iPadOS 14.1 update for iPad and the milestone upgrade is now available to users. iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Airand iPad mini owners.

iPadOS 14.1 Review

If your iPad is currently running iPadOS 14.0.1, you will be looking at a pretty large download file.

If you are experiencing problems with iPadOS 14.0.1, iPadOS 14.0 or iPadOS 13, you may want to install the iPadOS 14.1 update on your iPad immediately.

iPadOS 14.1 Issues

iPad users are encountering issues with the latest versions of iPadOS 14.

The current list of issues includes setup issues, Exchange issues, weird battery drain, issues with first and third party apps, issues with Face ID, UI lag, Wi-Fi issues, Widgets issues, and Bluetooth issues.

iOS 14.1/iPadOS 14.1 users discovered a bug It’s about the default app settings of iPadOS 14. If you update your chosen default app (Chrome, Gmail etc) in the App Store, the default app will be removed from its slot.

The bug has apparently been fixed in Apple’s upcoming iPadOS 14.2 update.

If you can’t cope with the performance of the iPadOS 14.1 update on your iPad, keep in mind that you can no longer downgrade to improve performance. Apple has stopped signing iPadOS 14.0.1.

You also can’t revert to anything older than iPadOS 14.0.1. Therefore, those of you downgrading from iPadOS 14.0.1, iPadOS 14.0, and iPadOS 13 should be cautious when upgrading to iPadOS 14.1. Once you act, there is no turning back.

iPadOS 14.1 Jailbreak

If you want to jailbreak an iPad running iPadOS 14, you will need a specific model running iPadOS 14.0.

If you have another iPad model, you should stay on iPadOS 13 for now.

We don’t know if the tool will work with iPadOS 14.1 yet, so if you jailbreak, you’ll want to avoid upgrading for now.
