Of course, fake jailbreaks are nothing new and have been around for several years. Scammers love to join the fun and take advantage of eager jailbreakers who are ready to download the latest jailbreak version. Sometimes it works because some jailbreakers get a little too enthusiastic and eventually fall for a scam.

Official jailbreaks have always been free and will remain free in the future. In fact, there has never been a paid jailbreak in jailbreak history unless it was a fake jailbreak that wanted to take your money and give you nothing in return.
So if you see a jailbreak website or download link asking you to pay first, turn around and walk away.
Links From Unofficial Sources
Perhaps the biggest fake jailbreak scam that users can fall for is jailbreak links from unofficial sources.
By “unofficial sources” we mean websites and links that are not from TaiG or Pangu. But the tricky part here is that scammers can make their website look like official developer team websites to fool people.
Other scammers put fake jailbreak links on torrent sites and claim that these are leaked versions of the jailbreak tool, but they are not actually leaked versions. Instead, these fake jailbreak downloads are often filled with malware.
Requesting Personal Information
If you come across a jailbreak that looks legitimate (but is ultimately fake), asks you to fill out a questionnaire or ask for your name, birthday, etc. may ask you to enter some personal information, such as
However, any jailbreak website that asks for any information about you or fills out anything before downloading the jailbreak is fake.
An official jailbreak website will not ask you for anything when you go to download it, so if you see a survey or a form to fill out, walk away.
What to do instead
If you find yourself constantly searching for a jailbreak download link on Google, you won’t be able to find a link for the iOS 9.2 jailbreak even if you think you can find a leaked version. No one is saying otherwise and it is feeding you malware.
