The process is simple but only applies to the GSM/T-Mobile version of the Nexus S.

If you don’t have this version of the Nexus S, you don’t want to follow these instructions. If you own a T-Mobile GSM Nexus S, let’s take a look at this: Android Centeron how to upgrade your phone right now.

Here’s how to do this:

1. Download this file.

2. Rename.

3. Copy it to the internal storage on your Nexus S.

4. Turn off your device and then keep the power and volume on to boot into the device’s bootloader.

5. Select Recovery using the volume keys and then confirm.

6. You will soon see a warning triangle and an arrow. Hold down the power button and increase the volume.

7. A menu will open where you want to choose. Select update.zip.

8. It will install and you will want to select it.
