Uber is doing a successful business in India as a competitor to domestic taxi-sharing startup Ola. Uber was successful in India as it did not follow the US strategy and did not meet India’s specific needs. However, there are some India-specific features that Uber still lacks, the biggest being the lack of a pay later option. While Ola has its own pay-after option, companies like Swiggy and Zomato have tied in with third-party pay-later services to bring the feature. Uber doesn’t do any of that. However, there is a way to enable pay-later services on Uber; this allows you to take trips first and pay later. If you’re interested, here’s how you can use the payment later on Uber.
Note: Currently this will only work on Android devices.
