Let’s check various methods to repeat songs or any other YouTube video on mobile and computer.
Replaying Songs on YouTube on the Web (Desktop)
It’s pretty easy to repeat songs on the web version of YouTube. Open the music video you want to repeat on YouTube on your computer. Right click on the video and select Loop. This much. Now your song will be repeated unlimited times until you change the video.
Fly: If you don’t see the Loop option on the first right click, right click the video again. You’ll also see YouTube’s picture-in-picture mode. This gives you the ability to watch YouTube videos while using another tab.
How to Repeat Songs on YouTube on Android, iPhone, iPad
Unlike on the web, repeating songs on YouTube mobile apps is not an easy task. Fortunately, there are three ways to repeat songs on YouTube. The first is to use the YouTube website from a mobile browser, and the second method takes the help of YouTube’s playlist feature. Finally, you can use third-party apps to repeat songs. Let’s check all the methods.
Method 1: Repeating Songs Using YouTube Mobile Website
Note: This method only works on Android.
Launch the Chrome browser on your phone and open m.youtube.com. The mobile version of the YouTube site will open. Tap the three-dot icon at the top of Chrome and check the box next to Desktop site. This will switch the mobile version to the desktop version of YouTube.
Open the video you want to repeat. Tap and hold the YouTube video screen until you see a menu. Tap on Loop from the menu to repeat the song.
Fly: You can play YouTube videos in the background without YouTube Premium using the desktop version of YouTube from your mobile browser.
Method 2: Repeating YouTube Songs Using Playlist
The steps for this method are the same on Android and iPhone/iPad.
Stage 1: Open the YouTube app on your phone or tablet. Find the music video you want to repeat.
Step 2: When the video opens, tap and hold the Save button located below the video. This will open your existing playlists. Tap New Playlist.
Stage 3: Give the playlist an associative name and tap Create. Your video will be automatically added to the new playlist.
Fly: If you run into any problems creating a playlist, check out our guide on how to create YouTube playlists.
Step 4: Now go back to the main screen of the YouTube app. Tap the Library tab at the bottom. Tap the playlist you created in step 3 from the list of playlists.
Step 5: Tap the Play icon to start the playlist containing your video.
Step 6: On the next screen, tap the small down arrow located below the video to view the playlist options. Tap the Repeat icon to repeat the playlist. Since the playlist contains only one song, it will be repeated.
If pressing the repeat icon does nothing, you will need to add a 1 second video to your playlist. Use YouTube search for this and type 1 second video. You will get a huge collection of such videos. You need to add any of these to the playlist containing your music video. To do this, tap on the three-dot icon located below the video and select Save to playlist.
Your playlists will appear. To loop your video, select your creation and hit the Done button.
Now open the playlist again from the Library tab > Your Playlist. Tap the play button.
Tap on the Repeat icon located below the little arrow. This much. Now your real video will be repeated. You won’t notice the 1 second long video.
How To Find Out If Replay Is Enabled For A YouTube Playlist?
You will notice that the Repeat icon has changed color to confirm if the repeat is on. It’s a way of validation.
It didn’t change the icon color again on my Android phone. So if this is happening to you, there is another way to confirm. For this, play the last video of your playlist and tap once on it. If the next video button is white, it means the repeat mode is enabled. If it is greyed out, the playlist will not be repeated. So, tap on the Repeat icon to activate the repeat mode.
