One of the reasons people love to use Fire TV Stick over Android TV is because Amazon’s Fire TV has useful features. Record screen on Fire TV Stick (2021)
1. Firstly, press and hold the “Alexa” button on the remote and press “screen recorder“. You will now be taken directly to the application page. Open it and install the application.
2. Next, open it and here you can choose the screen recording resolution or just click “Start Recorder”. It records in FHD resolution by default.
3. You will receive an alert on your Fire TV Stick screen. Click “start now“.
4. Now go ahead and navigate the UI, record the screen background. Note that you cannot record audio or DRM protected content from apps like Prime Video or Netflix.
5. When you complete the registration, Open the Screen Recorder app again and click “Stop Recorder”. You have successfully recorded the screen of your Fire TV Stick.
6. Now export recorded video you need to install the “Send Files to TV” (SFTTV) application on your smartphone or computer. Call Alexa and say “Send files to TV app” and upload it to your Fire TV Stick.
7. Similarly, on your smartphone or computerInstall the Send Files to TV app (Freeoffers in-app purchases). The app is available on Android, Windows and macOS. Keep the app open on your device after installation.
Note: Both your devices must be connected to a shared WiFi network for the transfer to work.
8. Now, open the SFTTV app on your Fire TV Stick and click “To send“.
9. Here, find the recorded video that should be in the root directory of your Internal Storage. Only scroll to bottom and you will find the recorded video. Recordings begin with “sr…”. Now, click on it.
10. On the next page, select device where do you want to transfer the video and that’s it. Within seconds, the video will be transferred to your device.
11. Now go ahead and play recorded video your Fire TV Stick on your smartphone or computer.
