Many of you who own an iPhone probably have at least a simple numeric passcode set up on your device. And for most of you, this works in keeping prying eyes from getting into your personal belongings. However, maybe you need something more secure, something a little heavier so that your phone won’t be messed with or stolen.
If that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know that there is a way to generate a more complex passcode for your iPhone directly from within iOS.
Best of all, it’s super easy and only takes a few minutes.
So, let’s take a look at how you can set a complex passcode on your iPhone?
Start and choose.
Scroll down and select.
For many of you, it will be changed to mean that you will have to enter your numeric password. Do this now.
You will see a lot of options. You want and you will want to change that.
Sorry, but you will have to re-enter your old password…
You will then be taken to a new screen where you want to go. You can use letters, numbers or symbols if you wish. I like to use a combination of all three.
After doing that, get your iPhone back to the lock screen and voila. You will be prompted to enter the new, complex password you just created.
Those of you who commute to work on a daily basis or store sensitive items on your phone should definitely consider switching from a simple numeric passcode to one that is more difficult to crack.
