iOS 11 brings tons of new features that make one of the biggest mobile operating systems even better. Some of the key features are the all-new Dock for iPads, easier multitasking, new Files app, Drag & Drop, revamped App Store, and redesigned Control Center among others. Of all the features, the most controversial in iOS 11 is the new redesigned Control Center. Some love its customizability, while others hate the way it looks. As an Android user, I’ve always placed more emphasis on customizability than looks, so needless to say, I quite like it. However, I don’t like it enough to switch from my Android phone to an iPhone. I wish there was a way to run Control Center on my Android device. note: I’m using my OnePlus 3 for this tutorial, but the process will work on any Android Device running 4.1 or higher.
Get iOS 11 Control Center on Android Using Third-Party Apps
There are many apps in the Play Store that promise to bring the iOS Control Center to Android, but none of them match.Control Center OS 11”(Free). The app just works. In my one-day use, this has never hit me, unlike other apps. From the moment I activated it, until the time I wrote this article, the app was working without any glitches. So this app is your best bet when it comes to getting Control Center on your Android device.
After installing the application, the application will ask for various permissions that you must grant for it to work. The app needs these permissions to work properly. If you don’t give these permissions to the app, the app will crash and won’t work properly. As for the permission process, it’s really easy. this the app itself will redirect you to the settings page and all you have to do is activate the relevant setting for application.
After granting the permission, you can open the app to access its settings. The application settings page allows you to greatly customize the Control Center. For example, you can decide if you want. Access Control Center using the alt, right, or left swipe. Here you can also enable the size and color of the scroll area. To do this, you need to start the application and tap on “size” as shown in the figure. Here you can make all the changes mentioned above. While you’re here, you’re also Enable “Show on everything”this lets you access Control Center from anywhere (even from the lock screen).
A nice feature here is that you can add settings as well as app shortcuts. On Tap “Add favorite app” on the app’s home page and then press the (+) icon. Now you will be taken to a list of all your apps and you can choose the one you like.
For example, I selected the Fenix app and now I can access it from the Control Center. There are many other settings to play with. For example, you can Enable “Assist Touch”, Change Control Center color and backgroundand change the language among other things. Feel free to explore the settings and customize the Control Center to your liking.
There is one more point I want to discuss and that is the 3D-touch part. Here’s how you can use the 3D touch gesture available on iPhone: Long pressing an icon in Control Center. However, it does not work for all icons, for example there is no long press gesture on the music icon.
Probably the only bad thing about this app is that it is supported by ads. There is no pro version, so you can’t disable ads even if you wanted to. However, the good thing is you’ll only open the app while setting it up.
