Many apps added to Windows 10 have an incredible reputation. They look great, work well, and help you tackle tasks where for older versions of Windows you had to depend on a website or desktop program. It is admirable that Microsoft is responsible for what users normally do. Yet there is a problem. Outlook Mail on Windows 10 is not as reliable as it could be. Outlook Mail Issues on Windows 10: Are You Sure You Want to Change, Add, or Delete Your Account?
This is one of the most common Outlook Mail problems plaguing users; which is ironic as it’s not really an error.
What the app is asking you is, are you sure you want to make changes to your accounts that might affect the way your computer works? If you’re seeing this message, it’s because one of the accounts you’re about to change is a business or corporate account that may have terms to link to it. For example, businesses may require your device to have a passcode.
You must agree to add the account.
Outlook Mail Issues on Windows 10: Your Account Needs to be Updated
Outlook has a strange issue with updating. Sometimes when your computer just wakes from sleep or hibernation, Outlook Mail reaches your email to check and see what’s new. All of a sudden, you’re looking at a notification saying you need to update your account.
For now, don’t try anything drastic. Update account information first. Then try to sync your account again. If the message does not disappear, go to Settings by clicking or tapping the cog in the lower left corner of your screen. Now go Tap or click on the account you’re having trouble with. If you are sure you have the correct username and password, try syncing the account again.
Outlook Mail Issues: Can’t See Your Folders
This is not a bug as much as the way Outlook Mail was designed. It tries to keep clutter to a minimum by not showing your full folder list in the sidebar. The sidebar is reserved for your favorite folders. Only the application does not know which folders are most important to you. It might sound strange at first, but it can be dangerous if you’ve already added sorting rules that send certain emails to certain folders. You might miss something important like the bill.

Every folder you add as a Favorite stays in place so you can always see it. You can right-click or tap-and-hold on each folder to pin it to the Start Screen/Start menu as well.
Outlook Mail Issues: Not Automatically Syncing With Any Account
At the bottom of the middle pane in Outlook Mail on Windows 10 is a status bar that lets you know when that account was last updated. Some users have noticed that the app will stop syncing all their accounts.
So far, there are only two methods that have managed to fix the problem. The first involves you opening the app and then tapping or clicking Find app in the Apps list from the list of menus on the left. Tap on it, then tap the button. Note that you will need to add your accounts back to the app.
The second approved method is to reset your PC from the Recovery menu in Settings. We recommend that you do not do this.
Outlook Mail Issues: A Problem Has Occurred on eas.Outlook.com
There is a really weird issue that occurs in Outlook Mail which basically stops syncing for an account. It doesn’t matter how many times you delete and re-add the account. Even resetting your computer won’t fix the problem.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about this issue on your part. Users experiencing the issue have reported that contacting Outlook.com Support for assistance eventually fixed the issue, but it took days. To contact them, you need to log in to the Outlook.com website and click or tap the question mark in the upper right corner. Look for a link at the bottom of the sidebar.
