The iPhone 4S jailbreak tool for iOS 5.1.1 is not without problems.
So users are getting encrypted iPhone 4s jailbreak error messages;
“Hmm… looks like something went wrong… I’m trying to recover”
and
“Recovery complete. If you want to try jailbreaking again, unplug your device and plug it back in.”
You might have seen this message if you followed the Chronic-Dev Team’s instructions to reset iPhone from Settings.
How to Fix iPhone 4S Jailbreak Errors on Absinthe 2.0?
Fortunately, you can fix these iPhone 4S jailbreak error messages in just a few minutes by restoring the iPhone 4S to your computer.
1. Open iTunes.
2. Click the iPhone device name on the left side of iTunes.
3. Click Restore when the iPhone settings page opens.
4. If you have already backed up your iPhone and are doing this after getting the error, there is no need to back up the iPhone again. Click Backup.
5. Click Restore when prompted.
6. iTunes will download iOS 5.1.1 even if your iPhone 4S is already running iOS 5.1.1. This is normal.
