You can only use this method if you ordered directly from Apple. If you ordered from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile, your delivery may be via FedEx or UPS and you will need to use another option.

If your iPhone 7 pre-order includes a phone number and postal code, you can find your iPhone 7 tracking number right away with UPS. This phone number is the number attached to the billing, which may differ from your mobile phone.
