How to Customize Share Menu Extensions on Mac

Along with the versatile Dock and iOS-style control center, the “Share Menu” is one of my favorite macOS features. Thanks to the integration with a bunch of sharing extensions, it provides a fairly simple way to share various items such as photos, emails, documents, news articles, and things from virtually anywhere on the Mac. However, with the presence of so many extensions, the Share Menu tends to look messy if you don’t manage it according to your needs. That’s where the following guide on how to customize Share Menu extensions on Mac counts.

How to Customize macOS Share Extensions

macOS allows you to easily add and remove specific sharing extensions from the Share Menu. So you can keep only the extensions you prefer and hide the ones you no longer use. In this way, you will have quick access to the extensions you use frequently. Let me guide you through the quick steps!

  1. To start Share button In Safari, Finder, or another app on your Mac. Since most apps support the sharing feature, you won’t have to spend much time finding it.

2. Now select More In the Share Menu to access the extension preferences

Click on more options

3. In the left sidebar Share Menu.

4. Next, you should see the list of all the sharing extensions you can use on your Mac.

Add Sharing Extensions to the Share Menu:

Now, if you want to add a sharing extension to the Share Menu on your Mac, simply check the box to its left.

Remove Share Extensions from the Share Menu:

If you no longer want to use any sharing extensions, simply uncheck the box to its left.
