How to Completely Delete Siri Recordings from Apple’s Servers

Concerns about user privacy grew when sensational reports surfaced about how Apple is using contractors to monitor iDevice users’ conversations with Siri. Many Apple users are doomed to sleep deprivation with the shocking revelation about Siri recordings being listened to and closely watched by humans. Fortunately, Apple suspended the program after reports surfaced. But your old records are still stored on Apple’s servers. Well, if you put privacy and security above all else, follow along as I show you how to delete Siri recordings from Apple servers directly from your iOS and macOS device!

Tips to Delete Siri Recordings from Apple Servers

Before we start the quick steps, it would be better to clear a few important points.

A Little More Spotlight on Controversial Siri Recordings

It’s ironic that a company like Apple, which never fails to blame other companies for being hungry for too much data, and which presents itself as the sole savior of customer security and privacy, would allow such a controversial program to run. To avoid escalating concerns, the Cupertino-based company went into damage control mode, suspending not only the practice of using human contractors to rate snippets of Siri audio recordings, but also offering a workaround for cleaning up audio recordings.

But there is still a catch. To get rid of the voice recordings, you will have to turn off Siri and dictation completely on each of your devices. This means you won’t be able to use Siri if you decide to delete your recordings. This is a bad move from Apple and I wish the company would allow users to delete Siri recordings without having to turn off the voice assistant. That being said, let’s delete Siri voice recordings from your iPhone, iPad and Mac!
